The Toledo Area Alumnae Panhellenic Council is again offering scholarship opportunities to alumna members of a National Panhellenic Council Sorority that is affiliated and in good financial standing with the TAAP.
CRITERIA FOR THE ALUMNAE SCHOLARSHIP
The
applicant must be:
- An alumnae member of a National Panhellenic Council Sorority that is affiliated and in good financial standing with the Toledo Area Alumnae Panhellenic Council.
- A dues-paying member of her alumnae chapter.
- Pursuing any type of degree or working toward maintaining or improving her professional status.
- Taking courses for credit at a local college or university.
- Able to show proof residence in Bowling Green, Ohio; Toledo, Ohio; Adrian, Michigan and surrounding areas provided proof of enrollment in one of the 3 universities is valid.
- Grade point average
- Financial need
- Sorority involvement as an alumna
- Professional and community activities
The
completed application and three (3) letters of recommendation are required for
consideration. One letter must be from
the president of the alumnae chapter of the applicant’s sorority; at least one
other must be from a non-sorority source.
The completed
application packet must be
postmarked by March 1, 2015. E-mailed,
faxed and incomplete applications will not
be considered, nor will recommendation letters received outside of the
application packet. The award luncheon will be Friday, April 10, 2015.

AOII Foundation Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships
The online application is now available on the AOII website and all of the information needed to apply is below.
Who Can Apply?
Any AOII Collegiate or Graduate Member in Good Standing
What are the Criteria?
The Foundation Scholarship Committee evaluates each application on the following criteria in no specific order:
- AOII Leadership and Honors
- Campus and Community Involvement
- Academic Achievement (cumulative GPA)
- Quality of the applicant's essay
- Substance of AOII and non-AOII recommendations
What does the Application Require?
- An AOII Alumna Recommendation (AAC advisor if undergraduate or senior)
- A Non-AOII Recommendation
- An Electronic Copy of your Last Transcripts
- Completed Online Application
What are the Classifications?
- Undergraduate are freshmen, sophomores or juniors as of March 1, 2015
- Graduates are seniors or alumnae of two years or less applying to graduate school as of March 1, 2015.
How to Apply?
The online application is now available on our website. Visit www.aoiifoundation.org to apply. The application and all required documents must be submitted online. The Foundation office will not accept applications or documents sent by mail.
What is the Deadline?
The application deadline is March 1, 2015. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Award decisions will be made by May 15, 2015.

Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone who joined us at our Founders' Day celebration on January 26. We were happy to welcome Elizabether Wertenberger, Miss Michigan 2011, as our Honor Card recipient. We were also happy to honor one of our own members, Cheryl Shelley Bogedain, with the Certificate of Honor for her service to our fraternity. Hope you all enjoy these photos from our event!

Thanks to everyone who attended our November meeting, which was our Circle of Sisterhood event! Thanks to all of you we were able to raise $1417 for Bead for Life. That is enough to build two houses in Uganda. Thanks to all of your for your generosity. Thanks to everyone who attended the October meeting with our collegiate sisters from Theta Psi! The highlights of the evening included an AOII trivia game and a pumpkin pie eating contest!

July 2012 Announcements
